People, places and spaces. KasiInstawalk is a collective of young creative who use photography as a tool to document township life. From street fashion, pop culture, history, arts, design and architecture we use the camera as a paintbrush to paint pictures of life ekasi and tell the real stories of township.

Sho bafethu, founded by Mawande Manez Sobethwa of Nez#Worx photography, the KasiIntstaWalk initiative began in June 2014 with the aim of creating a platform for township creative to meet, share ideas and collaborate, with photography being used as a facilitator.

Since then, each month a growing number of young people from various parts of Cape Town come together in various townships and walk the streets.

The platform has grown into a content hub that hosts a variety of moments captured in image form which is available to view through this website and other social platforms.

There are plans to begin putting together exhibitions and walks in townships outside the Western Cape.
